ABOUT ALEX&ER JEWELLERY
OUR BEGINNING
Founded in 2014, Alex&er Jewellery hand-creates luxury solid silver and gold jewellery starting with sketched designs through to finished wearable pieces.
All pieces are designed with meaning, purpose and collective movement, be that emotion, art or fashion focused. We are central to rethinking the ordinary symbols to give them true design and interest.
An early philosophy has set us up on a truly solid path, to design and create for customers that revel in wearing something that stands out, something that is set apart from the standard. Rather than following convention, we place importance on true craftsmanship, continuing our history in art through design, built ergonomically and creatively.
AN INDEPENDANT PATH
Each collection is designed without reliance on trends or seasonal cycles. They are instead curated through art, meaning both explicit and abstract united through pure craftsmanship. It gives space for ingenuity and freedom of expression through wearable pieces of the finest materials.
MATERIALS & MAKING
Every piece of Alex&er Jewellery is designed and handmade in the UK from solid sterling silver and solid gold. We do not plate our products. Every piece is handmade and therefore individual in its own right and truly one of a kind.
Nuances make the piece perfectly imperfect, proving its worth as an original handmade piece. We go even further with the ideology that every customer should have their very own personalised piece of jewellery, we stamp, texture, hammer, solder and manipulate our jewellery to explicitly fit the wearer. Choices? It’s your choice.
THE WORKSHOP
Our original workshop sits in the heart of Leek, Staffordshire. Inside the wonderful little store of Jacqueline Harold Designs, Alex&er Jewellery operates at the jewellers bench soldering, hammering and polishing every piece. Each piece is then proudly displayed in the cabinets of the store alongside the award-winning Jacqueline Harold Designs pieces.
DESIGNED WITH THE FUTURE IN MIND
Alex&er pieces are made entirely of solid silver or gold, along with architectural, ergonomic design undertones, the pieces are genuinely made to last a lifetime. The pieces carry deeper meaning with thoughtful design and therefore stand the test of time away from obvious trends. The only repetition and consistencies lie with the craftsmanship, the processes and eventual luxury quality of the finished piece.
