ABOUT ALEX&ER JEWELLERY
OUR BEGINNING
Alex&er Jewellery was founded in 2014 with a clear intention: to create jewellery with purpose, designed to last and made with care. What began as an exploration into meaning and form has evolved into a considered body of work rooted in craftsmanship, restraint, and longevity.
The first Alex&er piece was made in 2015, born from a desire to rethink familiar symbols and give them genuine design relevance. Rather than follow convention, the brand set out to design forms that held meaning through structure, balance, and negative space. That early philosophy still underpins everything we make today.
AN INDEPENDANT PATH
Alex&er was incorporated in 2017 and remains independent. Each collection reflects a distinct relationship with meaning, some explicit, others more abstract, but all are united by a consistent design language and a meticulous approach to making.
Independence allows us to design without reliance on trends or seasonal cycles, refining ideas slowly and releasing pieces only when they feel resolved.
MATERIALS & MAKING
All Alex&er Jewellery is designed and handmade in the UK from solid sterling silver and solid gold. No plating is used. Every piece is made to order, finished by hand, and allowed the subtle variations that come with human craft.
These nuances are not imperfections to be removed, but evidence of process, ensuring no two pieces are ever exactly the same.
THE WORKSHOP
The workshop sits at the heart of the brand, led by award-winning designer and silversmith Jacqueline Harold. With over two decades of experience at the bench, her knowledge and standards shape every stage of production, from raw material to final polish. The result is jewellery that feels considered in weight, proportion, and finish, made to be worn daily and kept for years.
DESIGNED WITH THE FUTURE IN MIND
Alex&er is not driven by trends or mass production. We believe in making jewellery that lasts, pieces that become quiet companions, worn into the body and shaped by the lives of those who wear them.
In a world increasingly defined by speed and automation, Alex&er chooses a slower, more deliberate way of working, one that values the human hand, thoughtful design, and objects made to endure.
